ChestShop
ChestShop signs can be used to simplify the process of buying and selling items in the Shopping District and elsewhere. They use diamonds as currency.
Selling
Set down a chest and put the item(s) you want to sell inside. Only one type of item will be sold per sign, and the first slot of the chest must contain the item being sold. Place a sign in front of the chest and input the following:
- Line 1:
ChestShop - Line 2: The number of items to sell per purchase (example:
64) - Line 3: The number of diamonds required to make a purchase (example:
2). Putting0as the number required will make the shopFree.
A ChestShop with the above example values would allow players to buy 64 items at a time, for a price of 2 diamonds per stack.
The maximum allowed value for selling items is 4 times the maximum item stack size. For instance, ChestShops are allowed to sell up to 256 items at once for items stacking up to 64.
Buying
When buying from a chest shop, left click the sign to bring up a preview window. This allows you to look at what you want to buy before making a purchase.
Once you are ready to buy, hold diamonds in your hand and right click the sign to open the purchase menu. Simply click on an item, and the correct diamond deposit will be transferred to the chest in exchange for the item.
