The Commonwealth, formerly known as the Commune, is a settlement established by Mr_PresidingDent and RKruler.
History
The Commune was founded on April 24, 2020. As one of the major political forces on the eastern region of Marshy Meadows, the nation has cemented itself as a reclusive and secretive collective of players whose ultimate goal is to achieve economic independence of resources from the market. While the nation has accepted a handful of residents and has made partnerships with some neighboring civilizations, the territory of the Commune Proper itself has given limited access to the larger playerbase. Even though it is nominally open to the public, the last time the Commune proper has made efforts to have players inside was on the day of the Ender Dragon fight in the summer of 2020.
The Commune’s major achievements since its inception consist of the now-defunct Mesa Express, and the currently open Ender Express. With an upswell of desires for liberal reforms, the Commune ultimately collapsed into what is now the thriving liberal democracy of The Commonwealth, though, curiously, it remains maintained by the Commune’s former leaders, Mr_PresidingDent and RKruler in addition to newer members such as propistian.
